Litchfield Township, Meeker County (trfnews.i234.me)—A 73-year-old woman from Litchfield was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle collision on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at approximately 4:55 PM at the intersection of Highway 22 and 230th Street in Litchfield Township, Meeker County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred when a 2004 Toyota Camry, driven by Nancy Anne Putzier, was traveling southbound on Highway 22. At the same time, a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 19-year-old Ethan Carl Lee, was also traveling southbound on the same highway. A 2005 Chrysler Town and Country van, driven by 47-year-old Dennis Lee Ernest Kuhnau, was traveling northbound on Highway 22. The vehicles collided at the intersection.
Putzier was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was transported to Litchfield Hospital for treatment. Lee and Kuhnau, along with Kuhnau’s three juvenile passengers—a 10-year-old female and two males, ages 7 and 9—were uninjured in the collision. The 7-year-old was the only occupant in Kuhnau’s vehicle not wearing a seat belt.
Road conditions were reported as dry at the time of the crash, and alcohol was not involved. Emergency responders from the Litchfield Fire Department, Mayo Ambulance, and the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
