Lillian Johnson, 90, passed away peacefully July 16, with family by her side. She was born February 1, 1934 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Bill and Lillian Hastings. She was raised in a happy, unified household with a strong faith in the Lord.
After her high school graduation, Lillian attended a hos training program at the Minneapolis General Hospital, where she earned a Diploma in X Ray Techniques. She began her career as an X Ray Technician at the Grand Forks Clinic and she thoroughly enjoyed working in this field.
Like her whole family, she loved going to dances. Lillian met her future husband, John Johnson at a local dance. They were married and made CA their home. They had 3 children.
Lillian was preceded in death by her son Kenneth; husband John; and 4 siblings: Paul Hastings, George Hastings, Mary Lou Bruzzone and Mildred Hutton.
She is survived by her daughters Lillian Hernandez and Gail Wheeler,
5 Grandchildren & 2 siblings: Bill Hastings and Petronella Shirk.
Lillian’s family was beyond precious to her, enjoying regular gatherings with them. She was the life of any party, always smiling, laughing and dancing.
She is sure to be dancing in heaven.
A funeral service was held at St. Raymond’s Catholic Church in Downey, August 23rd and at Riverside National Cemetery.
