Level 3 sex offender moves to Thief River Falls

A Level 3 sex offender moved Friday, Dec. 18 to Thief River Falls.

Thomas Lee Daniels, 33, moved to a home in the vicinity of Oak Avenue North and Highway 1 East, according to information provided by the Thief River Falls Police Department.

In cities the size of Thief River Falls, the Minnesota Department of Corrections doesn’t provide the specific address of homes where Level 3 sex offenders live.

The police department wasn’t notified until Monday, Dec. 28 about Daniels’ move. Level 3 sex offenders are classified as those sex offenders who are most likely to re-offend.

Daniels isn’t wanted by law enforcement and has served the sentence imposed on him by the court.

Daniels, at age 18, engaged in sexual contact with a known, teenaged female. That contact included penetration, according to the information provided.

He used attention and affection to gain compliance.

Daniels is described as a white male who stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 162 pounds. He has blue eyes and black hair.
