Lawsuit Initiated Against Mexican Drug Cartel Over Murder of North Dakota Family

FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A lawsuit has been filed against the Juarez Cartel in U.S. Federal Court in connection to the murder of a North Dakota family in Mexico, last November.
howard miller of williston north dakota has filed a federal lawsuit against the juarez drug cartel after his wife maria ronita lebaron-miller and their four children howard jr crystal and twins titus and tiana miller were all shot to death and burned near lamora mexico last november also joining the lawsuit are the surviving family members of dwana langford christina johnson trevor langford and rogen langford who were also killed in the attack the three women and six children were driving to the airport in november of 2019 when they were attacked by cartel members earlier there was speculation that their vehicles were mistakenly attacked that does not appear to be the case the lebaron millers a mormon family owned property in the area and according to court documents ronita had been a vocal public critic of the aurora’s cartel staging anti-cartel marches and demonstrations and they helped formed a movement known as sos chihuahua and had become symbols of the mormons resistance to the cartel according to court documents their vehicles were hit with heavy gunfire from automatic and belt fed machine guns one of their cartel members videotaped part of the assault and could be heard saying quote they’re going to finish it off dude unquote in the days that followed some members of the cartel involved in the attack fled to the united states two were arrested and deported back to mexico now howard miller of williston and other surviving family members have filed a lawsuit asking for a jury trial and the highest amount of damages allowed by law the lawsuit against the juarez cartel apparently targets cartel money and assets seized under the kingpin act in the united states and there’s apparently hundreds of millions of dollars that have been seized under the kingpin act i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
