Latest Update: One of Two Victims Discovered Beneath Ice in Lake Bemidji

BEMIDJI, MN (trfnews.i234.me) The Bemidji Fire Chief says a vehicle with 2 people in it broke through the ice of Lake Bemidji on Christmas Eve. One of the victims was found under the ice.
we have an update to our story regarding the water rescue team called out on lake bemidji on christmas eve we now know a vehicle with two people in it went through the ice into the water water fire rescue water rescue for bemidji fire two people in the water plus 300 feet out from diamond point park there if you know from access of this now in from bemidji fire chief justin sherwood quote at 5 11 pm christmas eve bemidji fire department responded to the 1700 block of birchmont drive northwest it was reported that a vehicle had fallen through the ice with two people in the water upon arrival responders found one person on the ice with one person still unaccounted for bemidji fire department members entered the water and found the male victim submerged under the ice he was retrieved and with the assistance of bemidji police officers and beltrami county deputies he was removed from the water where life-saving measures began patient care was then transferred to bemidji ambulance and he was transferred to sanford medical center in bemidji the condition of the victim is unknown bemidji fire department was assisted on the scene by bemidji police beltrami county sheriff’s office and bemidji ambulance again that was from bemidji fire chief justin sherwood uh we’ll try to get more information on all this later today i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
