hey everyone Neil Berg here out on Interstate 29 just south of Grand Forks are early on a Friday morning winter has arrived if you’ve got a Friday morning commute to work give yourself a lot of extra time especially if you have some distance to cover uh this is at 4:00 a.m. again just south of Grand Forks Northbound on I29 basically one lane plows uh haven’t got things cleared off yet and it’s slippery 30 to 40 miles per hour let’s take a look at the North Dakota road condition map here as you can see up and down the valley uh either ice or slush and snow covered roads so if you’ve got to make that Fargo to Grand Forks trip or up to the Canadian border today it’s going to be slow going until things get cleared off and in the City of Grand Forks Crews were hard at work at 4:30 a.m. the main thorough far is getting cleared off this is deur Avenue by the Ray Richards Golf of course however the side streets are still uh thick with snow and slippery take you over out on the Minnesota side this is Highway 2 and route from East Grand Forks to KRON at uh 5:00 a.m. plows we’re just starting to get out at this time it’s was just one lane heavy snow cover in the other lane uh 30 to 40 mph ruts want to pull you in the ditch look at the uh Minnesota DOT road map here basically all of Northwest Minnesota snow covered roads or snow and ice covered so if you’re headed out in Northwest Minnesota on this Friday morning give yourself some more time it’s going to take some time before roads get cleared off especially those secondary highways covering the northern Valley I’m Neil Berg reporting for I trfnews.i234.me
