LAPORTE, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) – A Laporte woman is facing serious charges after an alleged knife assault during a domestic dispute.
According to Beltrami County court documents, on August 15, 2025, officers were called to a residence located behind Benedict’s Outpost.
A male victim told officers he and Lori L. Burmayer had been arguing when she allegedly came at him with a knife.
The victim said he drew a pistol in response, at which point Burmayer dropped the knife. He was not injured but reported he feared she was about to cut him.
Burmayer is now charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor domestic assault – act to cause fear.
The case remains under investigation, and Burmayer is expected to appear in Beltrami County District Court.
