Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) A Laporte man is charged with third-degree DWI. Court records say his pickup left the road and hit a ditch.
What investigators say happened
Court records say it happened at about 1:45 a.m. on February 7, 2026. A deputy was on Mission Road in Beltrami County. The deputy reported seeing a Ford F-150 leave the roadway. The truck went into a ditch. The engine was still running.
The complaint says Kenneth Cloud Goggleye, 40, of Laporte, was in the driver’s seat. The deputy reported smelling alcohol. The deputy reported other signs of impairment. The complaint says a preliminary breath test was used.
Breath test results
Prosecutors say the preliminary test showed 0.14 alcohol concentration. The complaint says Goggleye was arrested at the scene. Records say he later agreed to a breath test at the jail. That test was taken at about 2:32 a.m. It allegedly showed 0.13.
Prosecutors filed the case on February 9, 2026. The charge alleges 0.08 or more within two hours of driving. The count is a gross misdemeanor under Minnesota law.

Prior record noted
The complaint says Goggleye has a prior DWI conviction from 2023. Prosecutors cited that history in the new filing.
Court hearing and release terms
Goggleye appeared in Beltrami County District Court on February 9, 2026. Judge Annie P. Claesson-Huseby set bail at $0 with conditions. The court also set $12,000 without conditions.
The charge is an allegation. It is not a conviction. Goggleye is presumed innocent in court.
Third-degree DWI is a gross misdemeanor in Minnesota. A conviction can bring jail time and fines. A judge may also order treatment.
