Fall Lake Township, Lake County (trfnews.i234.me) – A 71-year-old Arizona man was hospitalized Saturday morning after a serious rollover crash on Highway 1 near Pyhola Road in Lake County.
According to officials, Steven G. Pokrass of Phoenix was driving a 2025 Subaru 4-door westbound when he lost control of the vehicle. The Subaru veered off the roadway, struck a road sign, and rolled into a ditch before coming to rest on its wheels.
Emergency responders, including the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and Ely EMS, reported that Pokrass suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Ely Hospital for treatment. Notably, Pokrass was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Alcohol was not a factor, and road conditions were dry.
