La Crescent, Houston County (trfnews.i234.me) — On March 16, 2025, at approximately 11:17 a.m., a serious two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 61 and 4th Street in La Crescent, Houston County.
The crash involved a 2012 Chevy Suburban, driven by 77-year-old Charles Newton Wallace of Houston, MN, and a 2018 Toyota Corolla, driven by 24-year-old Hope Nhou Jah Vang of Brooklyn Park, MN. The Chevy was on 4th Street while the Toyota was traveling southbound on Highway 61 when both vehicles collided at the intersection.
Vang sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI. Wallace was uninjured. Both airbags were deployed, and both drivers were wearing seat belts during the crash.
