Thief River Falls, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On May 8, authorities reportedly observed a motorist driving near the intersection of 155th Street Northeast and Highway 59 Northeast. Suspecting the driver to be Kyle Travis Edgar, 40, of Thief River Falls, who lacked a valid driver’s license, he was charged with multiple offenses including felony third-degree controlled substance crime, fleeing from law enforcement, and driving after revocation. Edgar was also apprehended on a warrant from Red Lake County. Law enforcement followed him to a Walmart parking lot, where they confirmed his revoked driving privileges and potential outstanding warrant. A Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force officer found Edgar in the store and accompanied him outside, where a deputy instructed him to approach their patrol vehicle. Allegedly, Edgar fled, leading to a physical altercation with an officer resulting in his eventual apprehension. During the arrest, Edgar purportedly admitted to running because he possessed drugs. A subsequent search revealed a plastic bag containing approximately 29.4 grams of a substance presumptively identified as methamphetamine.
