Knife-Wielding Incident Leads to Felony Charges for Ogema Woman

Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Samantha Elizabeth Iceman, 23, of rural Ogema, faces serious legal consequences after being charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon in Becker County District Court.

The charges stem from an incident on the evening of March 14, when a White Earth police officer responded to an assault report at a residence in White Earth village. According to court records, Iceman’s boyfriend reported that she returned home intoxicated and “freaking out” during an argument. In the heat of the moment, she allegedly grabbed a knife from the kitchen and advanced toward him before throwing the knife and retreating to a bedroom.

The boyfriend called 911, but when the officer arrived and entered the bedroom, Iceman was gone, having apparently escaped through an open window. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

On June 27, her bail was set at $15,000 without conditions, $2,500 with conditions, and $250 with stricter conditions. Iceman is scheduled to appear in court on August 12 before District Judge Michelle Lawson.
