Knife Threat Incident Leads to Terrorizing Charge for Grafton Man

GRAFTON, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A Grafton, North Dakota man is facing a felony terrorizing charge after allegedly threatening another man with a knife near that town.

According to court documents, 49-year-old Rafael Velez-Patron was charged after an incident on May 21 at 5:50 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to Campbell Farms east of Grafton on Highway 17 after a 911 caller reported that Velez-Patron was armed with a knife and had threatened to kill him. The victim stated he was cooking in a shared kitchen when Velez-Patron entered and made threats to kill him and anyone who interfered. Deputies found Velez-Patron walking away from the scene and arrested him. He is now facing charges.
