Homeless Woman in Grand Forks Faces Multiple Charges After Knife Incident

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A 20-year-old homeless woman in Grand Forks, Katie Bennerotte, is facing a series of criminal charges after a knife-wielding incident on August 5th. According to court documents, Bennerotte is charged with three felony counts of terrorizing, as well as misdemeanors for obstruction of a government function, attempted simple assault, and criminal mischief. The charges stem from an incident at 710 4th Avenue South, where officers were dispatched in response to a disturbance. Upon arrival, police found Bennerotte outside the building, swinging a knife. A witness reported that after seeing her with the knife, he began to walk away, at which point she started swinging the knife at him.
