Kittson County (trfnews.i234.me) — In a bizarre twist of events at the Kick’n Up Kountry music festival near Karlstad, Minnesota, a man has been charged with multiple crimes after allegedly stealing a $50,000 portable restroom truck, nicknamed the “poop truck,” and abandoning it in another town.
Joshewa Leonard Horak, 38, of Ironton, is facing three charges: felony motor vehicle theft, felony theft, and misdemeanor criminal damage to property. According to the criminal complaint, Horak and his girlfriend, Amanda Dahlberg, allegedly took the Freightliner straight truck loaded with sanitation equipment sometime on June 13, 2025.
Surveillance footage, eyewitness descriptions, and video from a Ring camera helped authorities identify Horak. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Lancaster, with license plates bent, a fire extinguisher discharged inside, and over $1,500 in property stolen or damaged.
Horak was positively identified through Crosby Police records and video stills showing his distinctive arm tattoo and clothing.
The criminal complaint includes evidence that Horak and Dahlberg drove the stolen truck to a high school, then retrieved it later to drive it to Halma, before it was abandoned in Lancaster.
