KIDNAPPING CHARGE: Brutal Domestic Violence Case In Aitkin County, MN


AITKIN COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) An Ely, Minnesota man is facing a Kidnapping charge and more in Aitkin County. We have the story from the female victim’s statement in court records.
A brutal domestic violence case has turned into a kidnapping charge and more against Jason Keith Gillson of Elely, Minnesota. This happened in Apen County on November 18th. Reading in part from the statement of probable cause with the names of victims and investigators omitted at approximately 8:45 a.m. an Itasa County investigator arrived on scene and located the reporting party a female victim on the east side of the uh building, the Lucky 7 gas station in Swan River. The investigator spoke with the victim and observed she was crying, very upset, and had visible red marks on her neck. stated she was staying at a residence on Great River Bluff Road uh with the defendant when the defendant uh Gillson got up in the morning. She turned on the lights and uh Gillson became upset and started to yell at yell at her and hit her. The victim ran into a bathroom and locked the door. Uh Gillson kicked in the door and punched the female victim in the head, stomach, and arms. The victim told the uh Gillson told the victim that he was going to kill her while she was trying to call 911 for help. Gillson allegedly took her phone and tried to break it. The victim fled uh from Gillson, but he caught up to her as she attempted to seek help and forced her into into his Dodge Caravan and left the residence. Gillson drove the female victim back to her vehicle, which was parked at the Red Eye uh near the Lucky Seven gas station in Swan River. Gillson continued to assault the female as he drove. The female attempted to throw herself from the moving vehicle to escape, but Gillson prevented her from doing so and dropped her off near her vehicle and left. He was later arrested and now charged with four felonies of felony kidnapping, commit great bodily harm or terrorize, false imprisonment, intentional restraint, and a felony of threats of violence, and felony domestic assault.
