Kelliher (trfnews.i234.me) – A Kelliher man is facing serious charges following a dispute that turned violent in Beltrami County.

According to court documents, deputies were dispatched on August 17 to Carell Road Northeast for a reported assault. A man told investigators he went to pick up belongings from a relative’s residence when he was confronted by Dylan Michael Villaran.

The complaint states that Villaran allegedly waved a shotgun at the man and punched him during the confrontation. The incident reportedly escalated as the two argued about who had the right to be on the property.

Records show that at one point inside the home, Villaran allegedly set the shotgun down and threatened the victim, saying, “I’ll f— you up.”

Deputies arrested Villaran at the scene. He now faces multiple charges, including felony terroristic threats, reckless disregard, and misdemeanor assault.

If convicted of the felony charge, Villaran could face significant prison time. The case remains under investigation, and future court appearances are expected.

This incident underscores the risks involved in property disputes that escalate into violence. For more information on Minnesota assault and threat laws, see Minnesota Statutes on Assault.
