Keith J. Swartz, 68 of Grand Forks, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 9, 2024 at his home.
Keith Joseph Swartz was born on August 15, 1956 in Grafton, ND the son of Duane and Sylvia (Kovarik) Swartz. Keith attended school in Grand Forks, ND and graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1974. Following high school, Keith joined the US Navy at the age of 17. He was a heavy machine mechanic with Butler Machinery in Grand Forks for his entire career and retired in 2015. He loved to hunt and fish.
Keith is survived by brothers, Tim Swartz of Grand Forks, ND and Brian (Terasa) Swartz of Butte, MT; nephew, Jason (Esther) Gudim of Golden Valley, MN; one great-niece and four great-nephews and brother-in-law, Duane (Judy) Gudim of Becker, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Diane Gudim.
Private Graveside Service: Keith will be laid to rest at Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND with Military Honors provided by the United States Navy, American Legion Post #157, Veterans of Foreign War Post #3817.
