Kathleen Theresa Kueber, age 58, resident of Aneta, ND, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at the Aneta Parkview Health Center. Kathy was born in Northwood, ND on August 16, 1966 to John and Patsy Kueber.
Kathy was mentally handicapped and attended special education classes at several schools, including Petersburg, Aneta, West & Lincoln in Grand Forks, and finished at Lake Region in Devils Lake, where she graduated.
After schooling, Kathy was with Development Homes in Grand Forks, living first in a group home and then in an apartment. She spent her days at Agassiz Enterprises workshop.
Kathy became ill in 2011 and needed dialysis. She became a resident of Aneta Parkview for ten years, in 2021 she moved to Valley Senior, and in 2023 to Tufte Manor. Then in May of 2023, dialysis was discontinued, and she was able to move back to Aneta Parkview. Kathy loved people; the expression “never met a stranger” applied! She had a unique knowledge of country music, cars, and vacuums. She loved Dr. Pepper and church. She was incredibly outgoing!
Kathy was preceded in death by her grandparents, George & Gertrude Kueber, and Audra & Wilma Elliott; and numerous other family members.
She is survived by her parents, Jack & Pat; her brothers, Christopher (Missy) of Aneta, Jeffery (Jennifer) of Helena, MT, and Kyle (Melissa) of Aneta; nieces, Alex, Amara, and Ahnalee; nephews, Garett, Elliott, and Owen. She also had a grandniece, Aria.
Kathy was loved and will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Aneta, ND, on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. for all family and friends. Cookies and refreshments will follow the Mass. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the Funeral Mass. Kathy will be interred at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Aneta.
