ARTHUR TOWNSHIP, Kanabec County (trfnews.i234.me) — Three people were hurt after a two-vehicle crash on snowy Highway 65 near 160th Avenue on November 27. The State Patrol released the report Thursday night. The crash happened at 7:58 p.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a 2022 Kia Forte was heading south on Highway 65. The car lost control on a snow and ice covered road. It crossed into the northbound lane and struck a 2013 Ford F-150 pickup. The report lists road conditions as snow and ice. The incident report is available through the Minnesota State Patrol.
The driver of the Kia was Tanner William Coyne, 24, of Cambridge. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Welia Hospital in Mora. The report says he was not wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was not a factor.
A seven-year-old passenger, Alayna Nevaeh Bontjes of Cambridge, also had non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken from the scene by a third party. She was wearing a seat belt.
A four-year-old girl, Kinsley Mae Ring of Cambridge, also had non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported by a third party. She was also wearing a seat belt.
The Ford F-150 driver, Kenneth Donald Mostoller, 62, of Warba, was not injured. The report says he was wearing a seat belt.
Outside agencies responded to help. Welia Ambulance assisted at the scene. Horizon Towing also responded. The Kanabec County Sheriff’s Office helped with traffic and safety.
