Thief River Falls, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On April 3 at 2:24 a.m., a sheriff’s deputy allegedly observed a parked vehicle outside of Station 59. About 10 minutes earlier, the deputy had seen the same vehicle idling outside of the business.
Justin Tyler Ramsey, 31, Thief River Falls, has been charged with second-degree DWI and violation of open bottle law.
He was arrested.
According to the complaint, the deputy observed Ramsey sleeping in the driver’s seat. He could also see an open bottle of alcohol. Ramsey awakened and allegedly had bloodshot, watery eyes. He had a McDonald’s cup containing alcohol. A half-empty bottle of Black Velvet was seen in the backseat.
He failed field sobriety tests and had a PBT result of 0.171. At the LEC, he agreed to take the DMT test, saying he knew he was going to pass it. It had a result of 0.18.
The complaint indicated that Ramsey had a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years.
