Jordan L. Hajicek, 29, beloved resident of Grand Forks, ND and Fargo, ND passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025, in Fargo.
Jordan Louis Hajicek was born on October 30, 1995, in Grand Forks, ND the son of Wayne “Butch” Hajicek, Jr. and Chasity Castoreno. Jordan grew up in Grand Forks and attended Grand Forks Central High School. He was employed as a forklift operator and construction laborer living between Grand Forks and Fargo. A true free spirit, he embraced life on his terms, finding peace and contentment in the moments that mattered to him.
Jordan had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, where he often found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He cherished long rides on his longboard, often accompanied by his faithful dog, Sasha. Sasha was his constant companion and a source of happiness for him. He also enjoyed playing frisbee golf, and fishing, whether along the Red River, Island Lake, MN or other spots. He especially enjoyed fishing with his grandpa, Wayne Hajicek, who he has joined in Heaven. Jordan reveled in the calm and freedom of nature and he held a special place in his heart for the Kuenzel family.
Jordan will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and his loyal pup, Sasha, who brought him much joy. His love of life’s simple joys, his kind spirit, and his independent nature will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Jordan is survived by his mother, Chasity (Chris) Reck, his father, Wayne (Lissett) Hajicek, Jr. his brother, Dylan (Megan) Kuenzel, his niece, Lennon Kuenzel, grandparents, Diane Hajicek, Debbie Castoreno, and Milt Reck, great-grandmother, Grace Reck, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wayne Hajicek and his grandmother, Sue Reck.
Memorial Liturgy: 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2025, in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Family Greeting: One hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral home on Friday.
Interment: At a later date.
