Jamestown (trfnews.i234.me) — A 19-year-old Jamestown woman is facing a felony charge. Court records say the case involves a 14-year-old boy.

Valerie Rae Mann was charged Tuesday with gross sexual imposition in Stutsman County District Court, according to court documents.

What court records say

Police were called to a home in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue Southeast at about 11:48 p.m. Monday. A mother reported finding Mann with her 14-year-old son, according to a probable cause statement.

The mother told officers her 17-year-old son arrived home from work. She said he found Mann and the 14-year-old in a bedroom. The report says the family confronted them and called the police.

According to court records, the 14-year-old told investigators there was sexual contact. The report also states Mann admitted to sexual contact with the teen.

Court documents say Mann told police the encounter started in the living room. The report says it then moved to a bedroom. Records state she told police both were willing participants.

The probable cause statement says the teen reported the two had sexual contact about six times since Jan. 1. Mann denied any other incidents, according to court documents.

Records also say Mann had been living with the family since about July 2025. Court documents state the family had previously served as foster parents for Mann.
