Jamestown, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me) – A bizarre vehicle theft incident unfolded on March 22nd at 7:38 p.m. when police were dispatched to Bob’s Plumbing after a Silverado pickup truck was reported stolen while left running.

Surveillance footage quickly identified Brandon Lee Buchanan as the suspect. Within 20 minutes, officers had Buchanan pulled over still in Jamestown. According to reports, a state trooper read him his rights and questioned him.

Buchanan’s shocking response? He didn’t know why he stole the truck but admitted the vehicle was running and unattended, and he simply “decided to take it.” He also confessed to using meth earlier that day and said he wanted to leave town in the pickup.

Buchanan is now facing a felony theft of property charge, a serious offense under North Dakota law.
