JAMESTOWN, N.D.(trfnews.i234.me) — An intense explosion followed by a destructive fire in Jamestown has left one person injured and caused significant damage to a house and neighboring properties. Fire Chief Jim Reuther reported that when firefighters arrived at the scene around 1:30 a.m., the house and garage were fully engulfed in flames.
A 55-year-old resident sustained severe burns in the incident and was airlifted to a Minneapolis hospital for treatment. Tragically, one pet perished in the blaze.
Chief Reuther confirmed that there were multiple reports of the explosion that preceded the fire. The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are currently leading the investigation to determine the cause of the explosion and fire.
