According to the criminal complaint, on January 14, 2023, at approximately 12:05 AM, Polk County deputies responded to Little Bobby’s Bar & Grill in McIntosh after a male victim was found lying outside in subzero temperatures with multiple injuries.
- The victim, identified as “SSJ,” was found bleeding from multiple stab wounds on his face, upper arm, back, and jaw.
- SSJ was transported to a hospital in Fosston, then airlifted to Fargo for treatment of at least 20 wounds, including a deep cut to his neck and multiple puncture wounds.
Investigation and Confession
- Witnesses reported that SSJ had been involved in an altercation inside the bar, was forced outside, and later attacked again.
- Jaden Ray was interviewed and initially denied having a knife.
- She later admitted to having a pocket knife, claiming she stabbed the victim three or four times in anger.
- She described pressing the knife to SSJ’s neck, then stabbing him multiple times before fleeing and discarding the weapon.
