NASHWAUK, Itasca County (trfnews.i234.me) — A 30-year-old Nashwauk man was injured early Saturday when his pickup rolled off Highway 65. The crash occurred at milepost 177 at 2:47 a.m. on November 22. The Minnesota State Patrol released the report shortly before sunrise.

According to troopers, a 2009 Ford F-350 was traveling north on Highway 65. The truck crossed into the southbound lane, then entered the east ditch. It rolled and came to rest on its passenger side. No other vehicles were involved. Road conditions were dry at the time.

The incident is listed under reference number ICR 25311149. The report was last updated at 5:43 a.m. on November 22. Officials say the information is believed to be complete. The full crash summary can be found on the Minnesota State Patrol website.

The Ford F-350 was driven by Adam James Rich, 30, of Nashwauk. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Hibbing Hospital. The report states he was not wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was involved.

Responders from the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene. Nashwauk Fire assisted with rescue and vehicle stabilization. North Ambulance provided medical care and transport. No passengers were listed in the report.

Rollover crashes often result in severe injuries, especially when seat belts are not used. Alcohol increases the risk of losing control, even on dry roads. Safety officials urge drivers to avoid impaired driving and to always buckle up.
