ITASCA COUNTY HORROR: Motorcyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries After Hitting Deer – trfnews.i234.me

MARCELL TOWNSHIP, MINNESOTA (trfnews.i234.me) – A terrifying motorcycle crash occurred Wednesday morning in Itasca County when a Honda VFR800 collided with a deer on Highway 6 near Forest Road.

Authorities report that 51-year-old Roman Wade Hollinday of Duluth was heading southbound at approximately 7:39 a.m. when he struck a deer in the roadway. Hollinday was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

He sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia Health – Deer River for emergency care. Alcohol was not involved in the crash, and the road conditions were dry.

Multiple agencies responded, including the Deer River Police, Itasca County Sheriff’s Office, Essentia Ambulance, and North Memorial Air Care.
