Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Boyd will be active despite his back injury for the team’s game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, leaving the Titans understaffed on the perimeter.
The Titans (2-7) host the Vikings (7-2) at Nissan Stadium on Sunday (noon, CBS). Boyd had been dealing with a shoulder injury over the last couple weeks but coaches said he’d recovered and looked better throughout the week, only to be added back to the injury report Saturday with the back ailment. With Boyd active, the Titans will have five active receivers.
Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed and right tackle Leroy Watson IV had previously been announced as the other Titans missing Sunday’s game with injuries. Leading up to Sunday, the Titans signed interior offensive lineman Corey Levin to the active roster and promoted two players to the gameday roster from the practice squad using standard elevations: tackle Isaiah Prince and cornerback Daryl Worley.
Running back Tony Pollard will once again be active despite being limited in practice this week with a foot injury.
