MOORHEAD, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – The investigation continues after a 12-year-old boy jumped from the window of a burning home in North Moorhead, Minnesota, on Thursday afternoon. The Moorhead Fire Department received a call at 1:45 p.m. and arrived to find the house fully engulfed in flames. The boy, who suffered from smoke inhalation, was the only person at the scene when firefighters arrived and was promptly taken to the hospital. His current condition remains unclear.
According to Battalion Chief Matt Brand, the fire’s cause is still under investigation, and the fire marshal is actively involved. There was one dog rescued from the fire, but it’s uncertain whether two or three more dogs perished. A GoFundMe page has been set up for the Santoya family, who have six children. As the investigation unfolds, more details are expected to emerge.
