Intoxicated Student Arrested at Goodridge School Before Graduation Ceremony

Pennington County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On May 17 at 1 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report about an intoxicated student at Goodridge School. Although school wasn’t in session, a graduation ceremony was scheduled to start two hours later.

Dominic Scott Wilson, 18, from Oklee, has been charged with fourth-degree DWI (alcohol) and third-degree DWI (test refusal). He was arrested after school staff, concerned for his safety, alerted authorities. Wilson had allegedly been stumbling through the school parking lot, attempted to get into someone else’s vehicle, and then got behind the wheel of his own vehicle. Appearing “highly intoxicated,” Wilson started his vehicle and attempted to leave, but the superintendent intervened.

At the Law Enforcement Center, the deputy read the Minnesota Implied Consent Advisory to Wilson multiple times as Wilson claimed not to understand it. After requesting to speak to an attorney, Wilson flipped through phone books but only asked to call his friends and posed unrelated questions to the deputy. When asked to submit to a breath test, Wilson allegedly used an expletive and declined.
