Excel Township, Marshall County (trfnews.i234.me) – A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 59 and County Road 2 on June 9, 2025, resulted in one person being taken to the hospital.

Authorities say a 2005 GMC Sierra pickup driven by 63-year-old Gregory Thomas Dyrdal of Thief River Falls was westbound on County Road 2 when it collided with a southbound 2018 Nissan Rogue driven by 52-year-old Algelita Evette Rodriguez Wick of Stephen, MN.

Both vehicles had airbags deploy. While Dyrdal was uninjured and was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, Rodriguez Wick suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls. Alcohol was not a factor.

Responding agencies included the Marshall and Pennington County Sheriffs, Thief River Falls Fire Department, and Sanford Ambulance.

I’m Chris Harper reporting for TRF News.
