Intense Manhunt in Dalton, Minnesota Leads to Arrest of Carjacking Suspect

OTTER TAIL CO., Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) – New details have emerged about the arrest of 31-year-old Eliezer Rodriguez, whose actions triggered a shelter-in-place order during an extensive search in Dalton, Minnesota, Otter Tail County, on Saturday.

Rodriguez, a resident of Hutchinson, Minnesota, was apprehended on foot in a wooded area near Hansel Lake Rest Stop along I-94, just south of Dalton. The search involved the use of an airplane and a drone to track him. A car connected to the case was discovered at the rest stop.

Rodriguez was wanted by Minneapolis Park Police and is accused of carjacking a woman at knifepoint on Cedar Lake Parkway on Friday afternoon, then kidnapping and raping her. He is currently in the Hennepin County Jail, facing charges of kidnapping, criminal sexual conduct, and carjacking.
