FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – The latest update from the Cass County Sheriff’s Department in North Dakota concerns the death of a 37-year-old female inmate at the Cass County Jail in Fargo on Monday night. Shortly before 11:00 p.m., a deputy conducting a scheduled well-being check found the inmate unresponsive. Deputies immediately began life-saving measures, and Fargo Fire and Sanford Ambulance were called to assist. Unfortunately, all attempts to revive the inmate were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Cass County Coroner, the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, is investigating this in-custody death. Some immediate family members have been notified, and the Sheriff’s Office continues to inform others. The victim’s name will be released later. This remains an active investigation.
