FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has identified the woman who died in custody at the Cass County Jail in Fargo as 37-year-old Alexis Beryl Phillips of Ogema, Minnesota. Phillips passed away after experiencing a medical emergency. She had been incarcerated at the Cass County Jail since July 12th.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred just before 11:30 p.m. on Monday night during a scheduled well-being check. A deputy found Phillips unresponsive, and life-saving measures were immediately taken, but she was unable to be revived. The cause of her death remains under investigation.
