Impact of Government Shutdown on Holiday Travel: A Detailed Report

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A Winter Storm Watch across the region. A look at your holiday travel weather.
Neil Berg out here on highway 2 between Grand Forks and Crookston with a look at your holiday travel forecast first an interesting side note to this story I had planned to interview a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Grand Forks however I’m told due to the government shutdown I’m not allowed in that federal building however their forecast is still available if you’re out driving today on Christmas you should be in good shape around the region you’ll find some icy spots in some areas but tomorrow is when the problems start right now we’re already in a winter storm watch across the valley from the Canadian border down to South Dakota all the way from west of Jamestown over to Detroit Lakes Fergus Falls Bemidji so the Weather Service says the problems will begin on Wednesday the weather service out of Grand Forks says the first round of snow will spread across the area beginning Wednesday night bringing a broad area of 3 to 5 inches of snow second round will be more concentrated over southeastern North Dakota into western Minnesota with over six inches of additional snow winds will also be picking up and visibility will be reduced post Christmas Travel will be highly impacted by this storm we’ll keep you updated as soon as the latest forecast comes across regarding Wednesday travel and into Thursday as of today you’re in pretty good shape but as always take it slow it’s winter time you’ll find icy spots on highways in many places across the region I’m Neil Berg reporting for i-news TV
