Iconic Structure in Adams, ND Removed, Eliciting Memories

ADAMS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) An iconic structure, the water tower was taken down in Adams, North Dakota on this Sunday. For some it stirs some memories of the past.
a grain elevator or water tower is the iconic structure for many small towns across our region today in adams north dakota out west of grafton and park river it’s a bit of a sad day the water tower which has stood here since the summer of 1956 was taken down bonnie troffgruben who grew up in adams tells me she remembers her brother’s class was the first to paint their graduating class year on it she says it caused a bit of an uproar at the time and wound up with the water tower being repainted but time marches on and while this water tower stood watch over adams north dakota for more than 60 years it’s now a memory i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
