Hubbard County: Wild Chain-Reaction Crash Leaves Two Hospitalized in Park Rapids

Hubbard County (trfnews.i234.me) — A chaotic crash involving three vehicles in Park Rapids, Hubbard County, sent two drivers to the hospital on March 17, 2025, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 1:47 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 34 and Henrietta Ave North.

Authorities say a 2006 GMC Yukon driven by Nicholas Allen Randall, age 45, was northbound on County Road 6 when it was rear-ended by a 2020 Subaru Forester, driven by Gayle Karen Monson, age 77, of Nevis, MN.

After the initial impact, the Subaru continued northbound and t-boned a 2023 Ford Maverick Pickup driven by Georgeann Frances Gereszek, age 71, of Park Rapids. The Ford Maverick had the green light and was eastbound on Highway 34 at the time of the crash.

Monson and Gereszek both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Park Rapids. Randall, the driver of the Yukon, was uninjured and did not require medical attention.

The crash occurred under dry road conditions, and authorities confirmed that alcohol was not involved.

The Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the scene. For further case information, contact MSP District Brainerd Office at 218-316-3030 or Lt. Michael Lee at 651-343-4680.
