Akeley, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Two people are now facing multiple felony charges after a July 3rd welfare check escalated into a stolen property bust.
Police were called to check on Anne Phillips, a Fruita, Colorado woman, in Akeley, Minnesota (Hubbard County). Upon arrival, the officer discovered a U-Haul truck reported stolen from Illinois, along with a camper reported stolen from Wyoming.
Phillips and Michael Allen Stevens, of Akeley, were both at the scene and taken into custody.
Court documents show the pair is each charged with:

Two felony counts of receiving stolen property

Stevens faces extra charges of:

Domestic assault

Threats of violence

Possession of a dangerous weapon
