Hubbard County, MN: Two Jailed After Park Rapids Stabbing
HUBBARD COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — Two suspects are in custody after an early Saturday stabbing in the Piney Park mobile home court just south of Park Rapids, Minnesota. The incident was one of two reported stabbings in the region early Saturday morning, with another in Cass Lake still under investigation.
Authorities say the Piney Park stabbing victim survived and was treated for multiple injuries. According to investigators, Charles Justus is in custody on a pending charge of attempted murder. Danielle Westphal has also been arrested and faces a pending charge of aiding and abetting in connection with the same incident.
Officials from the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that both suspects remain in jail as investigators continue to gather evidence. Formal charges are expected to be filed soon.
Meanwhile, in Cass Lake, law enforcement continues to investigate another stabbing reported early the same morning. That case involved a male victim who was reportedly stabbed multiple times. No additional information or suspect details have been released in connection with the Cass Lake case as of Sunday morning.
Authorities have not said whether the two incidents are related. Both cases remain under active investigation.
