Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me)— Early Thursday morning, a massive fire broke out near the Bemidji theater, leading to a dramatic five-hour firefighting effort. Fire Chief Justin Sherwood reports crews responded around 3:00 a.m. to a fully engulfed mobile home on the 5000 block of Theater Lane. Flames had already spread from the home’s center to its front porch.
Initial reports indicated a possible missing person, prompting firefighters to conduct rigorous primary and secondary searches. Fortunately, the individual thought to be missing was later safely found elsewhere. A total of 27 firefighters and 10 emergency vehicles battled the blaze. Despite their intense effort, the mobile home and its contents were a complete loss. No injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation.
