Devils Lake, Ramsey County (trfnews.i234.me) – A homeless man, identified as Jeremy “Jae” Buckles, is facing a slew of charges after a violent series of events inside two Devils Lake apartments on June 9.
According to court documents, Buckles allegedly followed a woman and her 4-year-old daughter into the Newport Apartments, bypassing a secure entrance. Once inside her unit, he brutally assaulted a male resident by punching him repeatedly.
The woman fled with her child to a nearby apartment. Buckles then forced his way into that second unit, damaging the door and threatening the male resident before assaulting him with a hard backpack.
Buckles later fled but was arrested at 5th Street East. He was carrying the same bag and drug paraphernalia. He now faces charges including:
-
Burglary (with injury or threat)
-
Drug paraphernalia possession
-
Marijuana paraphernalia possession
Long-form charges for simple assault and two counts of disorderly conduct are also being filed.
