Meeker County (trfnews.i234.me)—A serious collision occurred on April 2, 2025, at 15:16 on Highway 12, near Milepost 95, in Litchfield Township, Meeker County. A 2019 Subaru Outback, driven by Crystal Hendrix Daigle, 46, of Kandiyohi, MN, collided with a 2021 Ford Explorer, driven by Jenna Rae Grotto, 35, of Grove City, MN. The Subaru was eastbound on Highway 12, and the Ford Explorer was westbound when the vehicles collided.
Both Daigle and Grotto sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to CentraCare Wilmar and Meeker Memorial Hospital, respectively. Both were wearing their seat belts, and alcohol was not involved in the crash.
In addition to the drivers, there were two juvenile male passengers in the Ford Explorer, ages 8 and 2, both of whom were properly secured in their seat belts and were uninjured in the crash.
The crash took place under snowy and icy road conditions, and Litchfield Fire/Rescue, Meeker County, and ambulance services from Cosmos, Mayo, and Atwater assisted at the scene.
