Cass County, ND (trfnews.i234.me) — A Fargo man is facing a felony charge after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop in West Fargo at speeds reaching 100 mph.

According to court documents, the incident occurred on October 26 at 11:16 a.m. An officer attempted to stop a vehicle after noticing it was being driven without its lights on. Instead of pulling over, the driver—later identified as Elijah Gustafson of Fargo—allegedly accelerated to speeds near 100 mph.

Due to safety concerns, the officer ended the pursuit but had already obtained the vehicle’s license plate number. Investigators later identified Gustafson as the driver and arrested him.

Gustafson has now been charged with felony fleeing a peace officer, a serious offense under North Dakota law. Convictions for fleeing police can carry penalties including prison time and license revocation.

Authorities have not reported any injuries related to the incident. The case remains under review in Cass County District Court.
