Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Eddie David Holbdy, 47, of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, has been charged with felony first-degree drug possession and fleeing a peace officer in Becker County District Court.
Court records indicate that on March 21, 2024, a White Earth police officer observed a vehicle speeding at 68 mph in a 55 mph zone on Becker County Highway 58. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but it accelerated to 108 mph. The pursuit continued along Becker County Road 129, with the driver briefly stopping before fleeing multiple times.
The chase ended on the 33000 block of 500th Avenue, where Holbdy exited the vehicle and was arrested at gunpoint. Authorities discovered $4,208.36 in cash, 181 grams of suspected methamphetamine, metal knuckles, and electronic devices during a search of the vehicle.
Holbdy was released on a $200,000 bond on April 1, 2024. On October 9, local charges were dismissed after federal authorities indicted him on similar charges.
