Hibbing, St. Louis County (trfnews.i234.me) — On Monday, April 21, 2025, at approximately 11:07 AM, a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of southbound Highway 169 and E 31st Street in Hibbing, Minnesota. The incident involved a 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan and a 2006 Buick Lucerne.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by 66-year-old Jeffrey Paul Johnson of Grand Rapids, MN, was traveling southbound on Highway 169 when it collided with the westbound Buick Lucerne, operated by 59-year-old Darin Alan Dahle of Nashwauk, MN, as it crossed the highway.
Both Jeffrey Johnson and his passenger, 66-year-old Pamela Gail Johnson, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to UMCM for medical evaluation. Darin Dahle reported no injuries at the scene.
Emergency responders from the Hibbing Police Department, Hibbing Fire Department, and Hibbing Ambulance Service assisted at the scene. The road conditions were reported as dry at the time of the accident.
The Minnesota State Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
