HUBBARD COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) We had a dramatic rescue this Saturday afternoon of a pipeline worker who was submerged in water. The victim was apparently in the cab of a piece of machinery that rolled into the water. Several rescue crews and a life flight helicopter were on the scene in Hubbard County, Minnesota.
we had a dramatic rescue underway in hubbard county minnesota uh just after 2 p.m on this saturday afternoon now the location of this is southwest of bemidji or south east of bagley minnesota down in the corner of hubbard county here apparently a pipeliner was in the cab of a piece of equipment that became submerged in water and the cab of that piece of machinery had plexiglass windows they couldn’t break the windows out to get them out and they wound up busting a nearby beaver dam to lower water in the area to get to the victim uh here’s some of that radio stuck traffic the cap of the machinery that’s submerged in the water the window is plexiglas are unable to break it to free him again he’s stuck under the waters fully submerged they would like you to stage at that location uh they did get the beaver dam broke lowered the water the party is still stuck inside but his head is above water very hypothermic but is trying to speak with the people on scene now a life flight helicopter was called and there was concerned about others who went into the water on this very cold day to help in this rescue there’s one person in the water stuck in the equipment other people have gone into the water to help him so there’s going to be more than one at about 3 20 p.m it sounds like a life flight helicopter uh took one person from the scene uh other rescue units were on the scene as you heard there were uh it sounded like multiple people in the water who helped with this rescue and who would be wet and cold on this very cold saturday again it sounds like one person taken from the scene by a life flight helicopter will try to update this story as soon as more information is available i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
