Minneapolis, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — A man was fatally shot late Sunday night in Minneapolis’s Phillips West neighborhood, marking the city’s 11th homicide of 2025. Emergency responders were called to the area near 29th Street East and Clinton Avenue South around 11:40 p.m. on April 27, 2025, after reports of a person down in the roadway.
Upon arrival, Minneapolis Fire and Hennepin EMS personnel discovered that the individual had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Hennepin Healthcare, where he later died.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara stated that homicide investigators are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s name and the official cause and manner of death in the coming days.
