MILLE LACS COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Good afternoon, everyone. Sheriff Kyle Burton here with an important update for Mille Lacs County residents. Many of you have likely noticed a significant law enforcement presence south of Highway 23, near the Fifth Avenue Southeast corridor. This increased presence will continue for some time as we address the situation.
I want to assure you that there is no active threat to the public at this point. Officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire from a residence in this area, which is why you saw so many law enforcement officers today. We are still processing the scene, but fortunately, no law enforcement officers were injured.
