Eveleth, St. Louis County (trfnews.i234.me)—A serious collision occurred on April 1, 2025, at 14:32 on Highway 53 near Bourgin Rd in Eveleth, St. Louis County. A 2008 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Farah M Bashir, 27, of Burnsville, MN, was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it collided head-on with a 2020 Subaru Impreza, driven by Aubrey Elizabeth Cherrington, 17, of Eveleth, MN.
Thankfully, Bashir did not suffer any injuries and did not require medical treatment, while Cherrington sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Virginia Essentia Health for evaluation. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not involved in the crash.
The incident occurred under dry road conditions, and emergency responders from Saint Louis County and Eveleth Police Department were quick to assist at the scene.
